How to Apply UNIQUE® Pourable Concrete Crack Filler
PRO TIPS
Temperature
It is crucial to ensure that the ambient temperature is expected to be at or above 50 degrees F.
Apply the product when rain is not expected within the next 24 hours, or else the concrete crack filler will not have time to fully cure.
The surface should be dry or slightly damp and free of any standing water, weeds, or excess debris.
Applying Multiple Coats
Additional coats may be applied for deeper cracks caused by freezing, as well as undermined areas. If the crack filler continues to sink in undermined areas of the crack, partially add additional clean sand and extra coats of crack filler in order to backfill the larger crack effectively. Once filled, you can go ahead with using your concrete crack sealer.
For a Smoother Finish
Pour or pump concrete crack filler product into the crack ¾ of the length. Allow a few minutes for the concrete crack filler to seep completely down into the crack. Then, simply push the concrete crack filler into the remaining crack length using a U- or V-shaped squeegee.
Make sure you push the squeegee the entire length of the crack, including the remaining ¼ of the crack where the concrete crack filler was not applied initially.
Once you have fully applied the concrete crack filler, you are able to simply clean off your tools with soap and water. Make sure to wash your tools before the concrete crack filler liquid dries on them.
